Moonray:

Aren't the retailers reporting good sell through? I'm pretty certain Christmas was good but maybe I should have checked the more recent numbers!

One thing that may be still going on here is the JIT inventory model thingie from the big tier makes. But I thought that was a done deal last year?

Any way good news - they are repeating the cheapPC syndrome which I like (but then the Briefing.com argument about explaining the 5% decline in GM due entirely to Chips&Tech does not make sense. INTC GM would be 58% if you removed Chips&Tech and that would suggest that product mix is not substantially different from last q.). Any way if it is just the cheapPC thing, there is hope for LSI. We will be hit because PCs are just a big consumer of chips, but after a couple of weeks hopefully the scaredy bears will have retreated and realized that LSI is OK.

Kurlak has a wide grin today. PC demand weakening was his point.
