TSO does this doesn't he? I noticed the same thing. Did you see how once again he sold off the semi-equips at just the right time? This is getting scary.

I'm off to read Andy Grove's book. Maybe INTC being paranoid portends good things for LSI.

Watched Charlie Rose today interviewing Billy Boy (Bill Gates). He was asked what was the guiding principle, the one vision that MSFT captured that made MSFT so successful. Billy said that he thought it actually went back to the original vision of a "computer in every home". Next Charlie asked if anything has changed. Yes Billy Boy said - now we envision a computer in every car, in every pocket, in every... (Very good for a certain digital semiconductor maker that will remain unnamed and that's growing very fast in the consumer electronics chips area.)

This INTC announcement is the shot heard round the world. Though I think we will get hit badly at the open I really want to see how we recover. And most importantly I want to see other confirmations /denials from the other PC boys tomorrow. More intermediate term I think tomorrow may be a good thing - there has been some serious mindless speculation out in the market and those kinds of things are not good for longer term bull markets. Ideally when all is said and done (a week/2 weeks hence and esp. after earnings - 6-7 weeks away) the stronger companies will not be hit as hard as the speculative/PC related companies. I'm counting on LSI being a "stronger" company.
