T. re your <<However, it is also fun to watch how quickly the tone here changes the instant things look more positive (or negative)>> Last night a watched Bill Gates being invterviewed by Charlie Rose during a public forum at the NY public library. On the subject of being conservative on earnings estimates he commented that he did not follow the stock price and it freightened him when he heard that his marked cap had become approx 211 billion or some huge number because of investor expectations. He commented that he concentrated instead on developing software (getting the job done).

He was asked if he recommended investing in internet related stocks because of their high growth. He qualified that he concentrated more on developing software and suggested that his friend Warren Buffet would be a better one to ask.

Gates then cautioned that these startup companies at first have high volatility due to cycles of investor sentiment over whether the company will succeed. Does this sound familiar? Incidentally, I heard yesterday that things appear to be going well in Henderson re Q1 low-volume production.

Regards, FMK
