Peter, I had heard about NEC's troubles from an analyst who follows Seagate; CRUS said they had heard of some difficulties but did not know the scope of the problem. Minor near-term plus if NEC gets its act together, major intermediate-term plus if they don't. I find it hard to believe that the co. has not bought back any stock yet. If this is true, there are two obvious reasons (but probably many that aren't obvious): The co. has reason to believe that the stock will go lower in the near future, or there is some truth to the take-out rumors and CRUS does not want to ruin their poolable status for an acquiror by buying back shs. If I had to bet, I'd bet neither reason was accurate! -Felt Burner
