BOB,
I am rather melancholy today, knowing that Scott is "no more" on this humble thread. :( (I put in that silly sad face, since you are so fond of those emoticons!) Maybe Scott was seeing sadness in my posts as he suspected that I would miss him so very much upon his departure. Then again, it was more likely that it was just his megalomanic delusions surging like his testosterone levels once again. Hmmm...maybe Scott is a really sensitive guy after all? V. ponders to herself, "Did I misjudge his cockiness for a need to be validated as a human being?" If so, mea culpa. Unfortunately, now that Scott is gone, I might just have to go back to writing posts of substance on my home threads, since my usefulness here has come to an end now that Scott's public finger is no longer a threat to society at large.
And, Bob, from your post:

<<You know it's too bad things didn't work out for Scott here. I suspect he isn't such a bad chap even though his breath may carry the scent of shoe leather.>>
I think you might be on to something here to which I eluded above. Even though I've heard lots of inside comments from insiders with insider information that really can't be classified in and of itself as insider information, but is inside information nonetheless, which stated that Scott Miller is an arrogant *#%@&!^%!+#, I have also heard from a very dubious, err... I mean notable source also on the inside that people who know Scott will tell you that he's generous, helpful and modest.

Have a good day, and with reference to the techs today in light of INTC's PR after the bell yesterday, and truly off topic in this post <ggg>, I quote a favorite punk lyric, "I love disaster, oh and I love what comes after." (Tom Verlaine from the group, Television, in "Ain't That Nothin'") lol
V.
P.S. to Scott For loads of fun, we oughta compare emails one day, now that you are happily accepting communications from the "outside" and say you're receiving many correspondences about how lame some of us on this thread really are! Like you, I have gotten loads of emails but I suspect the content might be...um...a bit different than that of yours. But alas, my correspondences are confidential, and I know you can fully appreciate & respect what that means, so I guess we will never get to compare notes. Bummer. :(
On a more upbeat note, at least it appears that your very massive "to do list" has lightened up a bit? This is good news for you personally, as you can now attempt to assimilate that mysterious entity known as interpersonal communications skills [word italicized to emphasis that meaning is used loosely]. On the other hand, I sometimes worry [jitter, jitter] when BIGTIME CEOs of exceedingly successful, tightly focused, aggressively growing corporations have time to not only answer private emails, but to solicit them on a public forum! My how things change! The proverbial 180! :) Should you ever decide to shell out a few bucks to join the SI, (I'm sure the Dryers would still be happy to have you...hell, money is money), then you could list your email address in your profile, along with all of the links to your Developers' Ten Commandments, company homepage, your old porn photos from before you really made it bigtime, your public finger (ACK ACK ACK!), your fav Lexus dealership, etc. for the edification of all those wishing to peruse your personal information and/or professional background. Glad to be of help, as always! Who'd have guessed that we share the same philanthropic ideology, and don't that just keep you all warm and toasty on a cold winter's night? I know it does for me. xoxoxo [wink wink wink] |
