Tai, Many brokers charge an extra 1 cent per share for going over 5,000 shares in total for a particular stock.

For example, If I buy 5000 shares of DUM at National Discount, I pay 19.95 for a limit order. If I then put in an order to buy another 5000 shares, I have to pay an additional $100 (1 cent for each share purchased).

If I understand you right, a trade that will cost me $119.95 at NDB would cost me $19.90 at Datek. Am I right?

Thanks, Tom
