RCN Corporation Reports Fourth Quarter 1997 Results Company Posts Record Quarterly, Year-End Revenues RCN Telecom Unit Sees Fourth-Quarter Jump of 113% in Advanced Fiber Connections PRINCETON, N.J., March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- RCN Corporation (Nasdaq: RCNC) today reported record fourth quarter and year-end results for the period ended December 3l, 1997. In addition to strong revenue gains, the company's RCN Telecom unit saw a nearly 30% increase in overall customer connections and a 113% jump in connections to the company's advanced fiber network from the third quarter to the fourth quarter.
