Steve it's a mad,mad,mad,mad world with all this activity going on for sure. <GG> Seriously I must say I wouldn't expect to hear much from AWRE until the 56K V.90 thunder dies down. My opinions about Paradyne's MVL system are... A) Interested. B) Waiting to hear from an independent test source...or real world user. C) Watching to see what if any licensing is done. On AWRE building their modems... I think they would only build the main important parts and sub-out the complete assembly. That's done with the 3Com PalmPilot. AWRE said they were going to hire 50 or so new employees to build their products. ADI may play some roll in assembling these items. *I personally don't see them being able to compete by manufacturing their own product, however, a strong partnership could be developed with someone like 3Com's USR division. Btw. Did you see the release about the new (world's smallest) DSP from ADI?
