I know very little about the mechanics of options.
But, given that AOL is being manipulated by big money(that knows it is overvalued) couldn't the big guys be buying enough to increase the price of the stock, and, at the same time use puts at the increased price level to benefit more when they stop buying and the price drops dramatically?(Whew, long sentence!)
That, along with short covering, would profit them on both sides.
If so, that's what I think is happening. In a posting last night I stated that I thought I smelled a bear trap.
