Wow, you're right!! Earnings don't matter a whit for these;
it's all 'bout "building the brand," n'est pas?

I sold (short) some AMZN today @ 73 with an open limit order.
Boy, what a stupid fool not to have waited for it to make new highs!

Hey, any lawyers out there following the internet-stock mania
after Clinton's *proposal* for a Federal ban on local taxation
of net commerce? Any opinions on the constitutionality of such
a ban? And, regardless of the merits, any thoughts on how likely
it is that such legislation can make its way through Congress
into law?

My own personal opinion is that if (if!) it becomes law, then
we're going to see *at least* one state go to Federal court to challenge the tax ban on constitutional grounds--all it takes
is one--and sue to get its sales tax paid by the local business;
and this would then ultimately have to go to the Supreme Court,
taking many years.

Cheers,

David
