This Intel "debacle" is proof that our economy is working pretty well. I mean, the market is working efficiently to keep prices low and parts available. There is so much choice out there now and Intel is forced to adjust. Society benefits. IDTI is going to benefit, too. because it (hopefully) is responding to what we all need - good stuff at good prices. The King is dead. Long live the King.
