I believe it [Pilot Production] means that it is being entered into production; with the first units shipped to `beta' customers. If I'm wrong, somebody please correct me. PNCL's APEX drive (specifications and media density) beat HP's optical drive(s) hands down, so who knows mabye they will be bought out. However I don't see PNCL being bought out untill APEX is in full production and only if it is capable of winning market share from HP and IOMG and other removable media companies.
