MediaX Launches Major Nationwide Radio Campaign for ''Peter Norton PC Guru''
CULVER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 5, 1998--MediaX Corp. (OTC:MXMX - news) Thursday announced that it has signed contracts with the New York-based BNN Radio Network for a nationwide radio promotion across BNN's network of nearly 200 affiliates in support of MediaX's ''Peter Norton PC Guru.''
BNN is the fastest-growing nationwide radio network. The campaign will commence in late March to early April and will continue into July 1998. The radio campaign for the ''Peter Norton PC Guru'' product is time-coordinated, with the product being available through a large selection of the leading mass-market computer and consumer retailers and through new and alternative distribution channels.
This will allow the company to heavily support the launch of the ''Peter Norton PC Guru'' product and offers the opportunity to place its message in a targeted, credible, foreground environment where millions of loyal consumers can be reached in a concerted, timely and cost-effective manner.
''Peter Norton PC Guru'' is a highly engaging and informative CD-ROM featuring Peter Norton and his special talent in assisting people to better understand and use their personal computers and the Internet. It incorporates state-of-the-art graphics, video and new- media technology and provides information researched by top experts in their field, real-time Internet hyperlinks and constant updates via the accompanying ''PC Guru'' Web site.
The radio spots will be placed in BNN's featured 24-hour radio programming featuring business, financial, news, and talk and lifestyle programs. With its network of close to 200 primary and feature affiliates nationwide, BNN covers virtually all major markets.
BNN's programs are hosted by professional broadcast personalities who are also experts in the business, financial and lifestyle fields, and reach two of the most desirable groups in America today -- the novice and intermediate computer user within the ''boomers'' and the ''seniors'' groups, the largest consumer groups in the nation.
