John, thanks for the info, I don't follow DEC or CPQ but knew that DEC was a potential competitor to Intel.

To help me better understand the competitive landscape perhaps you
could further clarify this issue.

Did DEC sell the rights of the technology to Intel ?
Or did they sell Intel a license to use the technology ?
Did the sale of the foundry to Intel eliminate the ability of CPQ
to produce processors ?
Do you know if the foundry had the ability to do DUV lithography ?
