OK,

yeah I posted on the AMZN thread here about that "no new taxes"
idea. it may not come to pass because the states (most of em)
want the tax receipts from their sales tax or gross receipts tax.

it's just a proposal, nowhere near law, and nowhere near being
tested in the courts.

anyway, even if it all becomes tested law (years down the
road), the local taxes nationwide average only around 5%,
and i don't think a 5% price advantage for the on-line
merchants will add up to much in the way of increased sales.
