Aw, come on, Sal, don't you want to take the opportunity to explain how I just don't understand Intel? I admit to some mystification here, not that income was down, but that it was such a surprise. Prices have been falling like mad, and suddenly there's a competitive market of sorts, temporary though it may be. Short term, the Covington/Celeron looks pretty lame, nobody seems interested and I saw some roadmap where it would only be 6 months after launch when the low-end PII was supposed to hit the same price point.

Competition is a terrible thing, you know. From a business standpoint, anyway. Rising volumes with rising prices beats rising volumes with falling prices anyday, for the seller.
