RNTK is a great play with wonderful long and short term potentials. Down side on it is 5/8 on the short term. Upside, much better than Lucent. If RNTK is considered a speculative investment for you, go for it. If it's money to buy shoes or pay rent next month---don't do it. Leave the t-bills alone. They're good for when the fit hits the shan. You never know when that might happen. Much of this discussion depends on your monetary status. If you've got money to burn and you want to gamble--this is about as good a gamble as any. If you're worrying about paying bills, don't play this one.
Guess I'm making it more complex than necessary, but basically, it's a speculative play and treat it as such. If I had some RNTK already, I'd be tempted to hold on to Lucent. What the hell, even when the techs are going to sh!t, Lucent is going to remain pretty shiny. Of course, if you can risk losing half of that 20k you're about to cash in on Lucent, buy RNTK. How's that for wishy washy? Guess it's just hard to figure not knowing where you stand financially, how old you are, where you're invested, etc.
Okay, the fee for this little session is the price of 5 RNTK shares at the end of this year. LOL.
