I find it interesting the way that people who argue that global warming is not an issue always have their own axe to grind, that is there is always a personal motivation/ self interest/ funding by the oil co's etc. I haven't found the same type of economic self interest on the part of those arguing that global warming is real though. In fact even the European oil co's are claiming there is a need to do something and not take the approach of the cigarette co's that tried to convince us that cigarettes were not addictive. IPSCO's interest is obvious, they make pipe for oil and gas drilling which means their customers will be hit hard by limits on emissions. They are based in Alberta, which was very opposed to Canada signing the Kyoto agreement since their economy would be worst hit of all the provinces. That's my 2 cents.
