VCD sales are still running strong. At the end of Feb., C-Cube should have sold over 2.8M units. Even if sales slow on March 1st, they will sell 800K more.

There is still the problem of C-Cube latest price cut. ASPs drop from $12 to $10. C-Cube needs to sell 4.2M units to break even on VCD this Q. They sold 3.5M units last Q.

All the analysts believe that C-Cube will sell 3.5M units this Q. With VCD still running todate, C-Cube will top that number. Every 100K is $1M in revenue. To hit 4.2M, VCD has to run through March. Last year, it ran through the end of April last year, but the Chinese new year was 10 days earlier this year.

For the last two year, the big slow down in VCD has been caused by inventory build ups. With the market now dominated by a few large companies, that should be less of a problem.

Units in Q2 should not be as high, But it means Cube made Q1 expectations already. Anyother unexpected sales, will mean C-Cube reports earning higher then expect.

How do I know? I read too much!:-)
