Anne (& Charles):
I'm presently unable to follow or contribute regularly to this thread, however, thought I'd make a point to drop in and say thanks for your kind words.
Anne, great to hear you've done more DD on IPM. That's the way it should be of course. I have remained long on IPM (now with a significantly larger, averaged down position), and I too have done more DD, both on the geological AND financial fronts ...
1) My results are EXTREMELY encouraging. The phrase around this thread used to be, "you're either long or you're wrong" - IMO, it still very much applies. Watch out people, there are a lot of positive developments that that are about to take place with IPM - and they WILL happen LONG before the company goes "bankrupt" ...
2) I apologize to the longs, but I'm not going to say anything further on this thread about my DD or about what I've learned, nor do I care whether people believe me or not. I've been able to read many of the posts here over the past few months, and frankly, I've been unimpressed. Moreover, I believe that the longs are well aware by now what exactly IPM has and that they are quietly confident, so I am not going to provide any more ammunition for the skeptics nor for shorty. I've waited this long for things to work out, I can easily wait some more with plenty of confidence. As you rightly said Anne, "Do your own DD..."
I still can't fathom why people like Jackson and marcos hang around this thread - if they think IPM is a dying dog, why don't they go and do something positive with their lives rather than prowling around waiting for any excuse to take a kick at it? This kind of behaviour takes real courage doesn't it, maybe their wives (bless their poor souls) have enough power to persuade them to do something constructive with their time which may actually benefit society. Is this too much to hope for? Or does their behaviour tell us that this what a career of running interference for shorty is really all about? (Man, what a rewarding job to do every day ...)
On the positive side, I do admire Charles' efforts to keep the thread healthy and to discuss both the positive AND the negative in a professional manner - when I'm settled and back online full time, I'll join in the discussions again ...
Hang in there, time is a great healer, and things at IPM are looking a LOT brighter than most people (apparently) think!!
