I would dare say that MVIS does not have a monopoly on the marketing of their type of devices. THey have a monopoly on their particular brand of technology, but not the application. For example, their delivery to Boeing a few months back of a helmet mounted display technology could just as easily be made by liquid crystalline display devices. A lot of $$$ is being spent on this particular brand of technology. So there really isn't a monopoly for MVIS. I would also hazard a guess that it is extremely expensive to produce MVIS' version of that particular technology. LC's are not completely out of the market in my opinion and thus MVIS is not yet a Microsoft.

Just my opinion though.
