Just for your info, comparing P-II, AMD K6 and Cyrix M2, P-II generates the most heat, M2 the least.

PC vendor advised avoid Cyrix for both reliability and availability problems.

Hmm, let's see: I have a $100 Cyrix CPU. I add my 20% mark-up, I make $20. Or, I sell $500 Intel CPU with 20% mark-up and I make $100 per unit.

Remember, your vendor's primary interest is his own bottom line. Your bottom line should be your primary interest.
