Maybe she took at job as White House intern...better career path I suspect. FYI -- I can report that the pace at which oil companies are considering term contracts and partnerships to build new deepwater rigs is continuing at a very healthy clip. Over the next few months you will see more and more new rig announcements. Does this indicate they are cutting back? Hardly. Does it mean that drilling contractors will add more backlog? I would say yes. Does it mean yards will get more work? You bet.
