The shrink to 0.25uM increases the number of die per wafer for
the same cost of manufacturing, the issue really is can they sell
all the product that they manufacture or will they have surplus
capacity in certain product lines which places pressure on margins
again since the prices will have to drop to move product?? Is it
possible to be too good at what you do, such that it costs you
profit margins?? Seems that high prices/margins are best when
products are in short supply. Oversupply and competitive pricing
is the curse of chip manufacturers, IMO.
