Back testing for 3/97 on Neurogen, NRGN, shows block trades by Instinet, Pacific Growth & Smith Barney. The purpose of downloading and determination of dollar volume trades per broker is to get a sharper focus on who the favored broker/dealers really are. Unfortunatly I am not capable of doing this but I have back tested MCDE, Advanced Magnetics & VRII for the dates given, in the 13 D filings. I am satisfied that the particular brokers names appear and until Lampert changes his relationships with broker/dealers if they do not appear he probably is not involved with the stock. This will probably be my only contribution to this thread. I have no other idea of how one can determine which stocks he is looking at before filing is required. I would like to know how one is supposed to do this?
