I think that statement about the law suit could also be used as an excuse if 1st and 2nd quarters of 1998 aren't that great. Blame it on the lawsuit is a convenient excuse for Corel, "Management was tied up with the lawsuit and it diverted our resources and concentration from the company...". Corel executives can quote me if they want so they don't spend too much time preparing a statement. My way of helping out. I really don't think it will take that much time away from executives, at least in the short term. They have lawyers and accountants that will likely take care of things.
