Ken,
The direct connect, cell phone, voice mail, and paging in one unit cannot be matched.
In my New York area, Bell Atlantic matches, what you say cannot be matched.
Direct connect - (whatever it is) is not that different from hitting a redial, or speed dial. The person receiving it has an option not to pick up.
Cell phone - how about PCS phone
Voice mail - yes, free
Paging - yes, numeric free, text paging for additional charge. (Although limited to 55 characters per message, which sucks)
Add to it free caller id, call waiting, call forwarding, three way calling.
Sprint has all, except text paging (supposedly coming this summer) and unlimited mobile to mobile, but Sprint has the lowest per minute charges.
Not to mention, we have started our own network with suppliers, subcontractors, etc that are all a push of the button away. As Arnie has said, advantage, Nextel.
On open wireless systems, it is only software upgrade away, and Lucent just announced availability of such an upgrade.
Joe
PS: How do you use paging with your Nextel system. Do you use just numeric or text paging? Are you using their software? How long can the messages be? We may not be taking advantage of all of the features of our system. |
