<<<<Is the unlimited direct connect listed on their page for ohio area? They don't list it for
New York. I have to find out if they offer it. It could make Nextel a little more
competitive with the BAM plan.>>>

Joe, Nextel has different rate plans each area. Maybe you should check with your local Nextel rep and see if unlimited DC is available in NY.

<<<<I just talked to them. It is pretty straight forward. If you use mobile to mobile only, it is
$39 plus taxes. Their per minute charges for mobile to land are not competitive though>>>>

The WSJ article claimed $10 for mobile to mobile. Very misleading. Exactly what does BAM charge per minute for mobile to land?

<<<<Right now, we have only 1 Nextel base station, and it is not very convenient. You need
to be able to put people on hold, transfer them around etc.>>>

Why? Wouldn't it make more sense to just DC the person you wished to talk to?

<<<<I don't need anything beyond New York Tri-State area. If I did, Sprint offers 1000
minutes for $99, or 10c per minutes, no LD charges. They are in most places worth
visiting. In others, you just use your dual-mode CDMA phone in analog mode (with
appropriate roaming charges), or you can use Nextel, but I think Sprint offers the best
deal here.>>>>

What does sprint charge for roaming (if any)? Does Sprint have direct connect, or mobile to mobile?

Regards,

Ron
