Ken:

That brings up a question I will pose here. This download was for 88 symbols in the demo. It was also for 13 days. Total time, just about 5 minutes on the dot. That's not very fast. So, for you folks who are attempting to download the market each night, how long does that take? Do you do it over the phone or on the net?

I just switched over to QP from Dial Data. On a 33.6 modem, for one day's worth of data on 11,200 issues (including split adjustments, dividend declarations, mergers and other trivia), it takes me 53 seconds to download from the time I connect. I use the toll-free BBS because I keep all my TA stuff on my laptop and I use a cable modem (not usable on the laptop) for Internet service.

Without seeming to gush too much, I think QP is excellent value for the money. Dial Data charges me $40/month, and every time I hear of a new stock I have to download it from the service. With QP it's all right there on your hard drive. All stocks; all exchanges.

Just one trader's opinion...
