Arnie,

1. Direct connect (true two-way radio at the push of a button - no phoney-baloney number dialing)?

What's wrong with the re-dial/speed dial button? Why limit yourself to half duplex, when you can have full duplex?

2. Group calling features on two-way radio?

Apparently our dispatchers don't care about it. It's less than 1% of the total time used.

3. Nationwide footprint with no roaming?

What if I don't care? What percentage of Nextel customers do you think care? 5%? 10%? BTW, Sprint will be there soon.

4. To the second billing after the first minute?

This is a plus, unless you are on unlimited plan.

5. Local calling areas encompassing huge areas? (In San Diego I can make a local call from the Mexican border to Santa Barbara in the north and Las Vegas in the east. Ditto Direct Connect)

Comparable in in New York area to what Sprint and BAM offer.

6. 140 character messaging capability?

This is good. BAM offers only 55 character. Sprint doesn't offer the service yet.

7. Instant locating features when out of local area?

I am not sure what this is. Can you explain?

Anyway, I am not an investor in Nextel. My wife's company is a customer. I am just trying to compare what's out there when I came across this thread.

Joe
