Armey is full of it. It's very easy to say what he said, and shows no
depth of understanding. What DOJ is doing is EXACTLY what should be done. It's not going to hurt MS in any significant way (even if they are split). IMHO McNealy and Barksdale would do the same thing Gates is doing in terms of business practise, if they only could. And Billy would do just what they are doing, if he thought it would help his company win the game.

MS needs to have someone paying attention to their tactics. History has shown that Government can and must provide a counterbalance to monopolistic practises, which MS certainly uses (although it could be a lot worse than it is).

I'm an investor and I work with MS products every day. MS is winning because it's products, in general, offer the best interface available. I also know that UNIX is far more stable than NT, easier to manage, more secure, and cheaper (if you get Linux). If it only had a pretty face.

So onward and upward MS, but the DOJ will help to insure that you don't trample anyone too badly...

Does anyone think Strom Thurmond knows what MSDN is?
