Thanks to all for the info on competition (real or otherwise).

One further question, I noticed that Digital's Millicent program is mentioned in the AT&T/Mondex article, but there were no details of exactly what it might be. If it turns out to be a metering system then it seems like it could prove to be significant competition in the future.

My (simplistic?) reasoning for that statement is as follows - Steven Sprague's post, way back, identified installed base as being one of the key requirements for success. So, now that Digital are part of Compaq - 18% overall PC market share in the US (IDC figures) but with 70% mkt share of the sub-$1000 PC (ie. home) market (Computer Intelligence figures) - they have a well-known brand name to leverage and potentially a ready-made route to a very large market for their technology (if it exists) ?

Anyone know anything about the Digital solution ?

Thanks.
