RioCan: does the price you just listed have anything to do with the announcement which appeared in the Globe & Mail yesterday:

'RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust has entered into an agreement with a syndicate of underwriters to issue 10 million units from treasury at $10.75 each. The underwriters, led by CIBC Wood Gundy, have the option of increasing the size of the offering by up to one million units. The units will be offered to the public. The proceeds are to be used to fund RioCan's acquisition of 11 shopping centres from Burnac Corp for $101 million.'

David, is the $10.75 a result of the 'treasury offering' or some other factor? Also, since RioCan recently split 2 for 1, what do you think is the current real value of these units?

P.S.: I love these companies that have magical treasuries.

P.P.S.: another individual contacted me to say he'd be joining this thread so maybe we can get the dialogue rolling. Tell your friends.
