OK, here's a strange one. I'd appreciate if you'd check this out on your feed. (Use a time and sales chart).

This morning, the bid/offers were leading the trades on MDCO by several minutes. It's as if the bids/offers were coming from a different datafeed than the trades! This was on Townsend Analytics feed, which I beleive they get from S&P Comstock.

In other words, say, at 9:33 MDCO was quoted as 22 x 22 1/4. But all of the trades that were shown were in the 22 1/2 - 22 5/8 range.

The bids/offers and trades both continued to go up, but there continued to be a lag until 9:38.

I seem to recall something like this happening with Datek, which they said they would eventually fix with a different data feed. They said that at the time, the data they got directly from NASDAQ was just the bids/asks.
