USTMAN Technologies Agrees with Red Jacket Electronics to Create Integrated Hardware/Software Product Offering

Package Combines Environmental Monitoring with Statistical Inventory Reconciliation

LAKEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 6, 1998-- USTMAN Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:USTX - news), the leading provider o statistical inventory reconciliation (SIR) services in the United States, has established an agreement with Red Jacket Electronics of Lenexa, Kan.
to integrate USTMAN's SIR services with Red Jacket's environmental monitoring equipment.

Under the terms of the agreement, Red Jacket will incorporate USTMAN's Extreme SIR software package with its equipment to provide an integrated hardware/software solution for owners of underground storage tanks.

''This collaboration with Red Jacket extends USTMAN's marketing reach through Red Jacket's sales program,'' said Dan R. Cook, USTMAN
president and chief executive officer. ''More importantly, it provides to Red Jacket customers and others our market-leading SIR option in addition to other leak-detection products currently available.''

With the new integrated package, product inventory and sales information collected automatically by Red Jacket's environmental monitors will be transferred automatically to USTMAN for SIR processing, providing a solution for underground storage tanks where other methods of leak detection are not practical.

Cook noted that USTMAN, which has grown significantly during the last 12 months, is continuing to seek additional resources to broaden its
market coverage as the critical date nears for compliance with the EPA leak-detection mandate for underground storage tanks.

USTMAN, with more than 54,000 underground storage tanks under contract, is the largest provider of critical information to owners of underground storage tanks through SIR and remote tank monitoring. SIR is a preferred method of detecting leaks in storage systems and of managing liquid inventory held in storage tanks.

It is fully approved for purposes of compliance with EPA leak-detection regulations, which cover nearly every UST in the United States.
