I think that charting can expose trends. This way you can see if you should buy now or wait a week when you've identified a fundamentally strong stock. I have problems when people try to use statistical analysis techniques to predict future moves from 'charts'. This I view like weather forecasting, the farther out you go from 1 hour ahead, the less reliable, exponentially, the forecast becomes. :)

BTW relative strength doesn't mean a whole lot without EARNINGS. Its only had an RS of 99 since about the 23rd. If Earnings were at 99 too, "that" would be exciting.

Actually Iomega has grown too fast! IBD compares EPS in recent quarters to last five years. Since almost all of IOMG's EPS in last five years occured in last 3 quarters, its comes out as not as spectacular as it really is because the quarters line up on the divisor and numerator. This will sort itself out soon.
