Dear Gregor and Kenneth, I posted a very long babble last night that was lost, as a lot are. I suspect the Lord would rather not have you waste your times reading them, or they are just under attack as they speak of an area very near and dear to satan's non-heart, and one that he has had such wonderful control over for 700 years.
My take is no, there is no hint in history of any Templar jaunting off anywhere. They are totally presented now as worldly men, totally rich and powerful, and basically no better than your average mafia thug. In reality, they all lived totally controlled and dull to the maximum on the surface monastic lives. Their only time "out" was to go die.
Therefore, jumping on horses and going off to Ethopia on romantic quests is unheard of. And had that happened, they would have captured Ethopia in spirit and established a great monastery there that would still be famous as are all of their others.
The devil is the Liar, the author of the ability to Lie and the Father of all Lies.
My take is that the Ark exists. NO king in history would have needed the money to melt down the Ark of God of the Jews. In its day it was like in ours the SUPREME trophy. With it, any pagan would have had the ultimate advantage over the other kings, all of whom did nothing but "collect" god idols of all kinds, and this would have been the ultimate trophy.
To melt it down is the work of the poor. The rich collect.
I think it is possible that as the book Ken has read speaks, that the Ark was spirited out in secret for safekeeping. I know it is buried there in code between the fall of Solomon and the utter end after all those terrible kings who are exact duplicates of several of the popes in a row, I noticed. Depraved, horrible, almost satanic.
Interesting.
Realism is taking me over these days, Gregor. Going along with the crowd that everything is wonderful, God is in control, and all we need for a happy life is just one more new Christian pop music record is just not working for me. I'm not even buying the idea.
:)
The poem is something that should be sent out to other threads, but we can't. Or can we? |
