Dear me! It really is confusing, isn't it? Apparently summary denial of the right to defend oneself is part of the deal.

But I'm beginning to understand: FIRST you must complain to Jill about someone you don't like. THEN you can insult that person, and many others as well, with impunity. It also helps if you post frequently about how ardently you support First Amendment rights.
