If Disney is such a great investment, how come Barron's financial newspaper shows them with a -negative- book value of -$2.83 per share? This means that the company owes more than it is worth. I suppose they don't believe Disney's claim that their "intangible assets", like the value of their brand names and "accumulated good will" is worth the 16.095 billion dollars that Disney claims in their most recent (Feb. 98) financial report. This report is online at:

sec.gov

And, as far as money owed by Disney goes, the financial report shows that they owe 6.831 billion in accounts and taxes payable, 12.003 billion in borrowings (bonds and loans), and 1.804 billion in deferred income taxes, under Disney's liabilities.

If you think Disney is such a hot investment, buy more! But, my prediction is that Disney's stock price could drop as low as $70 in the next year or so, if they have lower than expected earnings.
