The cause of Intel's problems is actually a positive for NN. Intel's woes come down to the fact that while lots of computers are selling but they are low-end, sub-$1000 machines of which 1/4-1/3 contain AMD or National CPU's and the rest use lower end (lower margin) Intel processors. The fact that lots of computers are selling means that more computers will be hooked up to the internet which means that the teleco's will need more bandwidth, which means that NN will sell lots more switches <GGGGG>. For all it matters to NN (or any of the networking companies for that matter), everyone could be buying 486 computers at $300 a pop. The computer is not the bottle neck in internet communications.
