Dear wallstreeter:

I was thinking also after the fact that Christ never singled out a pharisee, calling one individual out. Pointing out a fault. This would bolster the fact that while God may show His displeasure, it is always for His divine purpose.

As you so adeptly stated.."trying to humble the pharasees and in a way trying to save them because they as priests were not supposed to be served by other men and have their exclusive seats saved for them at mass, they were supposed to put themselves last and help other men. I think that is why he told his disciples that in order for them to be first they must be the slaves of all."..

What was it that Peter told Christ, after Christ told him if he would not allow Christ to wash his feet" then my "head and hands also".It really went over Peter's head what Christ was trying to show him.

I have a first hand lesson of what Christ was trying to show Peter in my life the last few months. I can uncompromisingly say that Christ expects us to humble ourselves as servants in every area of our lives including our jobs, and careers, and livleyhoods, and in a large part in these areas because these areas of our lives take up such a large part of " us", so we cannot separate these areas from whom we are.

Thank you, God bless you richly.Who is able to stop his blessings ?

In Christ.gregor
