That sounds pretty rational. One of the factors for the low price of the stock was the simple fact it is in Boliva. I noted my uneasiness over that in one of my first posts (may have been on the 1k/wk thread tho)...anyway, I think the blurb we got about GE dozers helping out in a local community was kind of comforting. If this company builds something down there, creates some jobs, the fact that it is in Boliva shouldn't matter. I assume getting the gold to market is figured out, I mean, if you're a tourist on some back road down there you are probably not any more likely to see bandits than in L.A...if you are a company doing good business down there you're even less likely to be at risk.
I guess if I had a point to make, it would be that the "Boliva" factor may be overstated. I made a crack somewhere that you just have to give your heavy equipment operators shotguns, that was kind of stupid: The Bolivians are good, hard working people like anywhere, with the smattering of wild-west bandits you have to expect in a country as desperately poor as they are.
I hope the company mines lots of gold, puts a bunch of Bolivians to work, injects some money into the local economy down there etc.
As far as the share price is concerned, it'll be a few pennies or a few dollars a year from now, I'll take the risk. |
