Oh WoW Dude!...Want a go do a Sit-in?

Apple kills the Newton

Farout!
Apple Computer Inc.'s decision last week to dissolve its Newton Group is causing waves of discontent among users and developers of the Newton OS, MessagePad and eMate 300 products.

Better sit down and medicate....I mean meditate!

Supporters plan a rally to protest the cancellation for noon PST Friday in front of the Apple Store at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, Calif. Those who cannot attend are encouraged to join an e-mail campaign.

Groovy...a protest!

The protest's goal to present a "unified voice for the thousands of Newton customers around the globe that have been orphaned," said Adam Tow, president of the Newton Developers Association, in a statement.

Tow labels Apple's decision illogical ,and he claims Newton sales have skyrocketed in the past six months, despite an absence of marketing from Apple.

They must have been stoned...or totally spaced out!

Newton technology has developed to the point where it is the best handheld computer on the market today," Tow said.

Whoa dude...let me turn you on to a Palm III

Referring to Apple's interim CEO, Steve Jobs, who made the decision to scrub the Newton, Tow said, "We cannot let one man's prejudice tear down the foundation created from the blood, sweat and tears of thousands of dedicated people over the past decade."

Oh bummer man...they didn't use their brains!

Apple has announced plans to release a mobile computer running a modified version of the MacOS in 1999.

Yo...space cadet! Is a mobile computer kool or what?
