The eyes of Texas are shifting

Analysts took heart from signs that Texas Instruments is shifting rapidly away from memory chips to the more proprietary digital signal processors used in many computer hard drives, modems and electronic devices including cellular telephones. These processors represented 40 percent of the company's chip revenues in the quarter, while memory chips constituted about 25 percent -- virtually the reverse of a year ago, the company said.(From Mercury News)
