I agree with you that report seems more rumor and innuendo than anything else. I was simply responding to someone's request for more information from the AOL Board. I certainly haven't seen anything more official regarding missed earnings. And some guy reporting his conversation with an analyst's assistant isn't anything more than gossip.

I, too, hope that no one acted upon such flimsy news.

It's the lack of news that generates such rumors I'm afraid. I hope that CPQ will be able to announce details of its merger soon.
