<<In other words, low-priced stocks often deserve to be cheap.>>

If that is the perception, then how come companies with low stock prices don't simply reverse split and get rid of the stigma?

This is an honest question that I'm asking, with no venom or attack on anybody. Just don't see the logic. Market capitalization cannot be fiddled by simply altering the number of shares outstanding. The biggest, most capitalized company can have a low stock price.

The same lunacy happens with stocks that split, and then shortly thereafter they announce a buy back. It's like a never-ending circle of split the stock, buy half it back, then split it again (for those waiting to pounce, I am not suggesting that this is happening with Cymer).
