From B.A.T. International's web site, we can see at least a remote connection with Daimler Benz, via Daug and the Ultraforce Battery agreement. Perhaps there is some ray of hope in the quote: "The venture between Ford and Mobil will tie in to an existing research program between Ford, Germany's Daimler-Benz AG (NYSE:DAI - news; DAIG.F)..."
