Paul, This is a terrible example.
To use this as an analogy, one would have to assume that DELL would never stumble.

I got bad news for you. DELL has a year with negative earnings in its future. All companies since the dawn of time have had this problem for one reason or another.

Now lets take Dell's number one competitor CPQ.
CPQ has a really good track record of growth don't they. Well then, Why is the stock going to be down on Monday?

Let me tell you.
They are going to have an "about break even" Quarter.
That means no growth. That means there is a problem in PC land. Despite what yall want to think, the writing is on the wall.

Dell's model breaks down if their ASPs drops. Well CPQ is blaming their short fall on lower prices. Lower prices would indicate lower Asps to me.

I am sure you think this in going to only be another opportunity to buy DELL, I think it is negative on the group as a whole.

We will find out on Monday.
BTW, CPQ now trading @ $25 in after market.
