>>Castlewood Systems, they are expecting to ship Orb at the end of April, early May. it will be available at OfficeMax and Fry's.<<

ALRIGHT!!!! Less than 2 months away!!!
I'm not so sad now that I can't get a SparQ. For $199, I'll be getting a fast MR tech SCSI 2.1 Gig Orb!!! Additional 2.1 Gig carts? Less than $30!
Goodbye Jaz2. It was good to be king of the hill while it lasted. In less than 2 months, one will be able to buy a faster machine with bigger capacity for less than 1/3 the price.<<

Rocky -

That's right. If anybody besides Iomega says it, it must be true. Castlewood's website has been saying for months that Orb would be available in Q1. Now they say end of April to early May. But your response isn't "Ha! More delays!" No, it's "Alright!!" (sic).

Yes, Orb may turn out to be a fine product. But so far it's still, well, vapor.

BTW, as long as I'm already going here, I'm curious about something. Your entire reaction to IBM's "thinking about maybe developing a minitature 400MB drive" announcement was that it would obliterate Clik! Here's what I'm curious about. Why don't you believe that such a product would suffer from the same fragility and massive power consumption problems you believe are fatal flaws in Clik!?

Don't bother answering me, Rocky, just see what happens when you try to think about it.
