I2, I do not think that the strong dollar translates into strong gains for financial US markets. Perhaps, in the very short term, as the initial return on investment in the US looks better than investment anywhere in Asia (temporarily boosting demand for US securities and thus, their prices), but in the medium to longer term, the much stronger dollar will result in massive cuts in exports from the US to Asia, and a massive flood of Asian imports to the US, and all of that will mean substantially lower earnings for any US company doing any business with Asia. Also, it is not clear how big the impact on Europe will be.
